Spanish language in Asia

Spanish is the only language spoken on all six continents. For centuries, it was dominant language in the Philippines, and, to this day, it is still present in certain areas
of Filipino culture: Spanish is in the names of beers, in the surnames, in some place names, in the inscriptions of some historical monuments, and in not a few loose words of
Hispanic origin that can be recognized in the midst of any conversation in Tagalog. But beyond the southeast of Asiatic, the learning of Spanish in Asia has experienced a noticeable increase in recent years. Thanks to globalization, commercial and cultural ties
have expanded, and Spanish has become a language of global relevance. In this context, Asia has been included and has witnessed a steady increase in the demand for Spanish courses as more and more people recognize the opportunities offered by mastering this
language. One reason for the growth of Spanish learning in Asia is the growing importance of trade relations between Spain and Asian countries such as China, Japan, and South Korea. Many companies see Spanish as a valuable tool for establishing commercial ties and expanding their work horizons, which has increased the offer of Spanish courses in universities and language schools in much of the Asian continent. Another reason for this interest in our language is the cultural appeal of Spain and Latin America, as many Asians are interested in music, cinema, literature, painting, and gastronomy in Spanish-speaking countries. We must remember the importance of language tourism, and the tourism boom has also contributed to an increase in the number of Spanish students in Asia.

Many Asians
traveling to Spanish-speaking countries want to interact with locals, which promotes the nascent need to acquire some language knowledge. In addition, the popularity of series
and films in our language has made many people want to understand this content interlanguage.
